Turbine shell leads the exhaust gas with certain pressure and heat from engine into turbine while keeping its energy to the maximum, and changes it into mechanical work in order to utilize the exhaust energy of engine. Therefore, the quality of turbine flow channel will greatly determine the efficiency of turbine and other parts. To reduce the air flow resistance, the surface of turbine flow channel need to be smooth and even. The material for turbine shell has a close relation with inlet temperature. If the inlet temperature is above 650℃, alloy nodular cast iron containing chromium or nickel is usually used. If the inlet temperature is below 650℃, ferrite nodular cast iron is mainly adopted.
